Itinerary Overview

Embark on an enchanting journey through Guwahati, the gateway to North East India. Nestled along the Brahmaputra River, Guwahati introduces you to the vibrant cultures and landscapes of the region. Skeleton Itinerary:

01DAY 1: Guwahati Arrival Upon your arrival at Guwahati airport, meet your dedicated driver and proceed to the vibrant city of Guwahati. Check-in at the hotel, and in the evening, embark on a breathtaking Sunset Cruise along the majestic Brahmaputra River (subject to river conditions). Overnight stay in Guwahati.

02DAY 2: Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple and SualkuchiAfter breakfast, visit the ancient Kamakhya Temple atop the Nilachal hill, dedicated to the goddess Kamakhya. Later, explore Sualkuchi, known as the "Manchester of Assam," famous for its cottage industries and handloom. Another evening treat awaits with a river cruise on the Brahmaputra (subject to conditions). Overnight stay in Guwahati.

03DAY 3: Guwahati – Cherrapunjee Check out after breakfast and head to Cherrapunjee, with a visit to the scenic Umiam Lake en route. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

04DAY 4: Cherrapunjee ExplorationExplore Cherrapunjee after breakfast, visiting the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, Nohkalikai Falls (world's fourth-tallest plunge waterfall), Mwasmai Cave, Kho Ramhah Rock, and Arwah Cave. Enjoy an overnight stay in Shillong, with the note that during dry seasons, waterfall levels may be reduced.

05DAY 5: Cherrapunjee – Shillong After breakfast, travel to Shillong, stopping at Elephant Falls en route. Check in at the hotel, then visit the Don Bosco Museum, Wards Lake, and explore the local market in the evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.
(Note: Don Bosco Museum is closed on Sunday, Wards Lake is closed on Tuesday)

06DAY 6: Shillong – Kaziranga National ParkCheck out after breakfast and transfer to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga National Park. Known for its One-Horned Rhinoceros and diverse birdlife, it's a haven for nature enthusiasts. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

07DAY 7: Kaziranga National Park SafariStart the day with an exhilarating elephant ride through the park. After breakfast, explore the Kaziranga Orchid Center. In the afternoon, embark on a jeep safari in the western range, stopping at watchtowers for bird-watching. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.
(Note: Kaziranga National Park is closed from May 1st to October 30th.)

08DAY 8: Kaziranga National Park – Jorhat After breakfast, check out and transfer to Jorhat, renowned for its lush tea gardens. Check in at a tea garden bungalow, and if interested, take a guided walk to learn about the history of Assam Tea.

09DAY 9: Jorhat – Day trip to MajuliExplore Majuli Island after breakfast, known for its cultural richness and Vaishnavite philosophy. Visit Anuati and Uttar-Kamalabari Sattras, interact with monks, and explore Mishing tribal villages, pottery, mask-making villages, and a traditional mustard oil mill. Return to Jorhat for an overnight stay.
(Note: To reach Majuli Island, a Government ferry must be taken as per the schedule.)

10DAY 10: Departure from Jorhat After breakfast, check out and transfer to Jorhat airport for your onward flight. Bid farewell to the enchanting landscapes of Assam.
